 Hey Guys!

Matthew chapter 27: 22 – 38

In the Old Testament, the high priests would slay animals, goats, bulls, lambs free of any blemish to serve as a sacrifice to God for the atonement of their sins and the sins of the people.

Jesus Christ came and died for us on the cross to set us free from all our sins. He paid the ultimate price so we can all enjoy eternal life. His blood was shed on the cross so that we might all be cleansed! He served as the stop gap to mend the broken bridge our sins created between God and mankind. Oh what Joy!

For me, Easter is the celebration of eternal life. It is the celebration of the death and resurrection of our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ. Because of his selfless act, I am guaranteed eternal life.

‘For I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me’ Galatians 2:20.

Easter is taking the opportunity (as we should all the time), to reflect and meditate on the suffering of Jesus Christ and celebrate that his resurrection means we no longer have to live in fear of death.

What does Easter mean to you?

Happy Easter Darlings.
