Shugaban is the first Nigerian online movie/video marketplace where movie lovers can rent Nollywood movies and other video content put up by producers and content creators…
Shugaban is a website/platform where you can rent yes I said rent movies for as low as N200 and you have access to these movies for 48hrs. Cool right?
I found out about this platform via a friend. I had talked his ears off on how bored I’d been lately and nothing seemed to be holding my attention for too long.
He must have thought I cared much for Nollywood movies for him to point me in that direction. Nevertheless, I decided to check out their site.
Shugaban.
I will admit that was really impressed at their site. Maybe it’s because Blossoms poster was the first thing I saw ( Yes, I have a crush on him but that’s not why). The site is responsive, and packed with really cool Nollywood movies.
I am no lover of a lot of Nollywood movies, but truth be told, they have come a long way and I applaud their growth.
The shugaban.com site offers you a wide range of movies not limited to English movies only. They have Igbo, Yoruba, and even Hausa movies. This got me even more as I prefer to watch Yoruba movies and Hausa movies. Do you find this weird? Lol.
To rent movies, the process is pretty simple. Go to their site, create a user profile and you’re good to go. You also get access to free movies too. No monthly or yearly subscription fees.
Summary of what you get when you sign up.
– Free movies available.
– No monthly/yearly subscription fees. It is a Rent as you go basis.
– Rent your favorite Nollywood movies for as low as N200 / $1.
– Watch (again and again) for a period of 2days/48hrs.
– Secured payment platforms (Paypal, PayStack).
Another perk is, if you are a Filmmaker/Content Creators of Short Films, Documentaries, and Skits, you can also monetize your content on their site.
