I must admit that a lot has been going on with me and to me and it has been quite overwhelming.

From dealing with the anxiety that comes with setting up and running a business, to motivating myself not to give up and not to give into the gloomy dark moods I’ve been dealing with lately, It’s been a lot.

But I am indeed grateful for the few good friends that I can talk to about some of these things and for the Grace of God that keeps me going.

And on that note, I have decided to make the Live Laugh Love my new mantra and be like Henry David Thoreau.

 I have decided to;

To live well.  I intend to do so by first being good to myself and then to my family and friends and as much people I come across.

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” 

To laugh often. I’ve been told and then learnt that laughter cures the soul. It heals many rifts, builds memories. Laughter makes friends, it warms your soul.

“Laughter makes you live longer,” 

To love greatly. To love greatly means to love unselfishly. To love things beyond yourself, beyond your personal interests.

“Love gives back two-fold, Love improves others.” 

I can only hope that others out there going through stuff will read this post and feel a lot better.

Now on to my outfit. I went fabric shopping a while back and this pink and black floral print caught my eye. I sometimes buy fabric without knowing what I’m going to make.

After a little deliberation, a friend and I (hi Clark Kent) settled on a drop waist dress and voila.

I didn’t have enough fabric to make the lower part fuller than it is but I still love it. I must admit that there’s this pride that comes with being able to make your own clothes.
