Floral Maxi Dress – Wearing Epiphany29

I was invited to a bloggers garden party and the theme was floral dresses and pearls. Read all about the event here… 

At first I was like whaaat?!! It’s no secret I don’t wear or own a lot of dresses and to make matters worse floral?

But I was determined to follow the dress code so I dashed to the market and bought fabric. 

Choosing fabric wasn’t so hard.  I saw a lot of pretty ones but I was drawn to this black floral one. You already know why lol.

I immediately knew I was going to make a floral maxi dress, but deciding on the actual style was the tricky part.

I wanted something comfortable, elegant, and different… 

Eureka! That’s when the light bulb in my head went off and I decided on a high slit maxi dress.

I am still crushing on the bell sleeves, so I went with baby bell sleeves to add a little more drama to the dress.

I opted for flat sandals ‘cos hello, ‘Garden party’ lol and my straw white purse to ‘brighten’ up my outfit a little.

I don’t own pearls so I wore my gold flower neck chain.
