I’ve been a sour person lately and I really need to snap out of it ASAP. I’ve tried reading books, going to the movies, window shopping (which usually cheers me up), err what else, watched all the videos of my nieces and nephew on my phone but none of that seems to be helping oooo. I do hope I drop the bad mood and brooding soon. A big sorry to all those who sent me texts and mails. I will reply soon, I promise.

It’s been a while I wore jeans… The comfort! Since I’m here acting like someone ‘body dey bite’, I decided to wear jeans and a simple top to suit my mood. Looked far into my closet and found my green shoes, (Oh how I’ve missed you), grabbed my yellow bag to add that needed pop of color and I was good to go. Today was what I tagged ‘Easy does it day’.

Putting up this post is making me feel better already. What do you guys do when you’re in a bad mood???

Side bar: To all of you who keep wondering what ‘Bae’ is up to, wonder no more. Go to www.baetracker.com and find out loooool.

Outfit deets? Sure.

When I feel sad and etc (which hasn’t happened post my re-dedication), I listen to songs which made me feel sad the more lol.
Sometimes I snap out of it, other times I lurk on IG, call my friend to make me laugh and sleep.
    Food helps too oh.
Hope you feel less “gloomy” and more lively.
    Kisses!

Awww, sawry you’re in a funk. Watch a very sad movie (look for One Day starring Anne Hathaway), cry your eyes out, and thank God cos life could be worse.

Or watch The Sound of Music. That’s what I’m doing tonight. Cried enough already in 24 hours.

Well I’m rarely in a bad mood, but wen it happens I reflect on d mercy and goodness of God,
I grab a good book, or ping d heck out of my family members. On d flip, I decide to be happy always. U can make dat decision too.

Pele dear, it will go away soon!

    When am moody I do any or all of the following;
grab my earphones and play selected songs,
call my loved ones (especially the ones with funny bones ),
    eat something exotic(Asian cuisine),
    or go to fun places.

Something else I do is, play with my miracle baby boy. Trust me, his smile and laughter can send any bad mood away!!

After I had my son, I experienced some ‘baby blues’. I tried everything and it wouldn’t go away. I remembered that there is power in the word of God. So, I started confessing 2 Timorthy 1vs 7: ‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind’. I concentrated on the “sound mind” part.
    It got me through.

Finally, I always remind myself that it a phase and would pass. I try not to make hasty decisions in those times.

    Nice outfit btw! 😉

Yup, I totally agree with you.

    Hello Grace,

Moods come and moods go, Sour moods make you appreciate Sweet moods even more.

I love the relaxed chicness of the outfit, you look uber cute. The yellow bag must have brightened your mood 🙂

Btw, kindly stuff me in your suitcase when you decide to teleport to Seychelles, I promise not to cramp your style 😀

    Have a lovely weekend!

On sound of music I think the captain (shey he was a navy captain) for putting all those children at risk running up and down in the dark with the Gestapo chasing them instead of respecting himself, putting on his uniform and reporting for duty. Shebi he do big boy for peacetime? He see woman he forsake! He should have been shot!

  • I guess we all have to go through this phase… don’t worry it will surely pass. I think if you create smiles on peoples’ faces (like volunteering, helping your nieces) will make you feel better. Try out something you have not done before. maybe painting, learning new language etc. i hope you get out of it soon.

by the way, i so love the monochrome pic. seriously.

    THIS IS WORTH READING

Firstly, I recount Joseph ‘s experience as a slave and then how he finally became the prime minister of Egypt; being a foreigner oh. So I just tell myself ‘girl, God is in control, it’s still working together for your good’.
And then I appreciate God for special blessings received and special people I have in my life. After all that, I watch movies back to back with a cold bottle of coke.

  • When I am in that kinda mood, I listen to songs like Thinking out loud by ED Sheeran or Matrimony by Wale.

I quite agree with New dawn, those words do heal a down and broken heart. Cheer up sis, fried rice is just two days away! #wink#

Music!! Music always to the rescue. For the blues my faves are Dido, Sade, REM, Cranberries or so good old raggae, I mean like really old school raggae.

I appreciate all your comments!
