A few years ago, my sister and I traveled to the United Arab Emirates. I must state that the process was pure evil as we landed on a Friday and her visa wasn’t printed out yet, while mine wasn’t even in the system. Ugh!!!
And if you know UAE well, you will know that nothing happens on a Friday. It’s like our Sunday here. Plus the air fare was ridiculously high. Thank God for Travelstart and their cheap flights to Dubai.

Dubai…
Gold Souk.
Located in the heart of Deira, this was the first place we visited as we stayed in a hotel in Deira. I was totally blown away by all the gold and I got to learn about the different kinds of gold.
The Gold souk is open from Saturday to Thursday (10am-10pm) & on Fridays (4pm -10pm)
I got a cute pair of gold studs and I still wear them till date.
The Dubai Mall
The mall is located In financial center road & apart from all the cool stores in it, the mall has great side attractions.
There is the musical water fountain, the Fish Aquarium View of Burj khalifa amongst other things.
It’s an absolutely breathtaking mall.
Mall Of The Emirates
My sister tagged the mall of the Emirates a luxury mall (It actually is though). With over 500+ stores, you are sure to shop till you drop. Simply divine.
The mall boasts of Ski Dubai (the first ski resort and snow park in the Middle East), the Community Theatre and Arts Centre, the 14-screen VOX Cinemas multiplex, the Magic Planet family entertainment area, the largest Carrefour and more than 90 dining and cafe options.
Who doesn’t like to have a good time while shopping.
Perfume Souk On Sikkat Al Khali Street.
Dealing in everything scented, from pure perfume to essential oils, incense sticks and the exotic traditional oud, the traditional trading spot has beautifully-fragranced options for all. You can even have a personal fragrance created and bottled by experienced perfumers.
Flea Market
I compare their flea market to Mente De Moda here in Lagos and DMP in Abuja. I think the locations vary from time to time.
