This post has been a long time coming. Thanks to Bookie (Hey girl!) Who referred me to Island Beauty when they requested for bloggers to review their spring collection lipsticks…
I really apprciate the fact that she thought about me when she was asked for some bloggers she felt could pull off this review. So here’s cheers to good friends who want you to grow as they grow.

Before I started applying the Island beauty lipsticks, I exfoliated my lips first to get rid of all the dead skin that might be lingering, then moisturised my lips with very little lip balm, set ‘Don’t worry about me by Mateo’ on repeat and I was good to go. See how I always drop cool music for you all to get? You are all welcome *wink*
Subtle and smooth shade. Easy to apply with no flakes though it kept skipping on my lips so I had to re apply it like 3 times to cover my lips properly. I really like how it compliments my skin tone.
Well pigmented with a little bit of glitter. This shade sure deserves it’s name as I had to tone it down alil bit cos of the shocking effect it had on me when I applied it initially. Easy and smooth to apply with no flakes.
I fell in love with this shade immediately I saw it. It’s got this really smooth satin feel and applies beautifully with no flakes. I applied just two coats and was very pleased with the result.
Overall review: All three shades apply smoothly with no flakes. I’d easily go for the Champange and Berry Wine shade. The Electric blue is one I’d probably wear at night or to certain places and events.
It’s pretty obvious that my fav is the Berry Wine right? What’s yours?
And it’s a wrap folks. Kisses!
